(affectionately called “MadRE”) was formed in 2015 to provide a first of its kind reinsurance program for clients of Captive Alternatives, the insurance consultancy that pioneered the Private Insurance Structure business model and all insureds of its direct writer Madison National Insurance Company.

The new international facility allows Madison Insurance Group to quickly and efficiently create new Private Insurance Structures, and provides additional opportunities for the creation of larger private insurance structures.

Madison Insurance Group (MIG) elected to form Madison RE I.I. in Puerto Rico because of its efficient, business friendly atmosphere and its open minded insurance regulatory department. Domiciled and licensed in Puerto Rico, Madison RE I.I. is focused on serving U.S. businesses, Puerto Rico businesses, and international businesses seeking efficient and secure risk management solutions and participatory reinsurance structures.

With the launch of Madison RE I.I., Madison Insurance Group consolidated operations into Puerto Rico making Madison RE I.I. one of the largest private insurance managers in the territory of Puerto Rico.
